New record dedicated to ‘those affected by SUDEP’

The band Kissed By Vultures have dedicated their new single ‘Miss You’ to all those affected by SUDEP.
Band member Scott Hardcastle lost his sister Samantha to SUDEP in 2004 and wanted to write a song ‘as a tribute to love, loss and the people who are missed every day’.
Through SUDEP Action, he reached out to families who have lost a loved one to SUDEP, inviting them to share photos for the song’s video. Twenty-three families reached out to the band all their submitted photographs are featured in the video.
‘Some songs carry more than music’ said Scott, who is lead singer.
“I hope it can raise awareness of SUDEP and honour others who have been lost. I am proud of it because it took a lot of work and planning. But my idea came through with some good people I met.”
Gary Pooley from Steele Media in Kings Lynn and his son Henry did the filming and editing – unaware of SUDEP, they generously agreed to do the shoot for the video for free.
Scott said: “We used Kings Lynn Corn Exchange for the venue, and they were very helpful and had a technician on hand to help load the photos onto the big screen.”
