Light Up the Sky
2024
We Light Up the Sky with love and with memories to remember those we have lost and support others…
Our events give us an opportunity to share more about the work we are doing, the projects we are involved with and our ambitions for the future. They also give us a chance to say thank you in person to so many dedicated supporters and volunteers who do so much for the cause. We think it’s important for us to share information with you – but also for you to feedback to us and have a major say in decisions made. Your experiences matter and underpin everything we do, both now and going forward.
Throughout the year we hold important campaigns to raise awareness of SUDEP and epilepsy risks, with an emphasis on saving lives. We also want to remember those who have died and bring communities together.

Celebrated annually on March 26, Purple Day is all about increasing everyone’s understanding of epilepsy.
This is an important day in our charity calendar and it’s about remembering all those we have lost to epilepsy / SUDEP.
Our National Conference is the only conference in the UK which brings together people bereaved by epilepsy.
SUDEP Action Day is dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy deaths worldwide.
My Way to 5K is an annual event we’ve been running since 2020, which runs alongside SUDEP Action Day in October.
We provide the only support line for people bereaved by an epilepsy death and offer access to qualified counselling. Our dedicated support team has a special interest in, and understanding of, sudden and traumatic death.
