This year, SUDEP Action has been accepted to be part of The Big Give Christmas Challenge, a match-funding initiative where your contribution can make double the difference!
So, how does it work? For every £1 you donate, we are match-funded a further £1. This means just £50 can become £100 and £500 could become an amazing £1,000 for the charity. It’s that simple.
Our target is to reach £5,000 in donations raising a total of £10,000 of vital funds to help support the valued services we offer for free. This includes counselling sessions, our award-winning EpSMon app and SUDEP & Seizure Safety Checklist for people living with epilepsy, our Epilepsy Deaths Register as well as impactful research to help prevent epilepsy deaths.
Donating just £20 pays for 10 people with epilepsy to use the EpSMon app for a whole year, allowing them to self-monitor their epilepsy in between appointments and reduce their risk. This means, with match funding, your £20 becomes £40 and supports 20 people with managing their epilepsy risk for one year. A £50 donation can provide a counselling session to someone bereaved by epilepsy. The Big Give then doubles your donation and becomes two valuable counselling sessions for those in need.
We are honoured to have received champion funding from The Hospital Saturday Fund. As champions, they have chosen to support our cause through The Big Give, boosting our ability to make an impactful difference. We also have match funders who are incredible longtime supporters of the charity; Yvonne and Ian Inman who lost their grandson Jack Rowlinson. Jack was only two years old when he passed away due to SUDEP in December 2014. Yvonne and Ian have pledged £2,500 in match-funding against any funds raised for the charity during The Big Give Christmas Challenge this year.
The Big Give will be running from the 3rd – 10th December 2024 and we need your support to donate as well as like and share our social posts to spread the word. We need your help urgently as we only have one week to raise the funds.

To have your support during this week, which means that every penny donated is doubled, is wonderful, especially as the most of our funding comes from people suddenly bereaved by epilepsy. To grow their generous donations so we can help even more people really is special, and I can’t thank all those who are able to take part enough.’
