Motion in Scottish Parliament to acknowledge SUDEP Action Day
MSP Monica Lennon lodges motion to recognise SUDEP Action Day

A motion has been lodged in Scottish Parliament by MSP Monica Lennon to acknowledge the 30 years of service that SUDEP Action has paid to improve epilepsy safety both in Scotland and globally as well as recognise SUDEP Action Day today; Wednesday 15th October. The motion also encourages MSPs to wear a SUDEP Action pin “in solidarity with families affected by epilepsy-related deaths”. This includes the family of Jessica Johnston, who died in hospital aged just 20 years old whilst waiting for treatment for seizures. Lindsey Greer, Jessica’s mother, has campaigned for better epilepsy care and accountability.
If you are living in Scotland, you can still encourage your MSP to sign the motion and support SUDEP Action Day. You can find the details of your MSP here.
