Research Fellowship with ERI offers award of up to £300k to investigate epilepsy and SUDEP
SUDEP Action and The Epilepsy Research Institute are offering a co-funded Fellowship to support an early career researcher to investigate epilepsy and SUDEP. This may include how to reduce the risks associated with of SUDEP and other preventable epilepsy deaths as well as the impact and cost of preventable epilepsy deaths/SUDEP on bereaved families, health system and the wider community.
Applications are invited for awards of up to £300,000, over one to four years (FTE).
Emerging Leader Fellowship awards provide research funding for researchers planning to develop a track record in epilepsy research and seeking to transition into research leadership. Funds will cover the Fellow’s salary, support staff costs and project running costs.
Ben Donovan, SUDEP Action Research Manager, said: “There are still too many preventable deaths occurring and research has a critical role to play in both understanding risk and informing practice that can save lives. We are excited to be working with the Institute and welcome applications that can make a real difference to people with epilepsy and their families.”
