Getting involved in the APPGE

APPGE logo

We want people to have the opportunity to be involved in the APPGE and its agenda.

You can email us with your suggestions for future meetings as well as invite your MP to attend. Just contact appg@epilepsy.org.uk to register your interest. We will also keep you updated with news and upcoming events.

Could you invite your MP to join the next meeting?

Many MPs belong to APPG groups which are of interest to them or their constituents.

If you have a personal connection with epilepsy, could you write to your MP, telling them about your story and asking them to attend future APPGE meetings? All the information they need to join future meetings can be found on our APPGE webpages, and if they sign up to the mailing list below, we will email them when new meeting dates are announced.

(Please note that the APPGE cannot comment on individual issues you may have to do with your epilepsy, however your MP may be able to provide some support)

MPs wishing to support the APPGE

If you’re an MP and would like to attend the next APPG on Epilepsy then please do contact us on appg@epilepsy.org.uk. Your support is invaluable to us.

Can I attend APPGE Meetings?

APPGE meetings are valuable opportunities for epilepsy organisations and professional organisations to get involved in epilepsy work to meet together, along with supportive MPs to discuss key epilepsy issues, concerns and opportunities.

As part of these meetings epilepsy organisations may be asked by the Secretariat to invite spokespeople along eg: people with epilepsy, clinicians, researchers, bereaved families or policy makers, who can take part in the meeting and share their experiences. However APPGE meetings are not open to the general public as unfortunately space is often limited and there is a lot to discuss in the short, valuable time we have with the MPs in the room.

However as we know many of you are interested in what happens in these meetings, we will do our best to share updates on our main APPGE webpage and via our social media channels - so do keep an eye on these!

APPGE Mailing List

The APPGE has a dedicted email for all APPGE matters: appg@epilepsy.org.uk. From this email we also notify interested stakeholders of future meetings, and suggested topics for future meetings can also be sent to this address.
