Corporate Supporter 2020 Alpha FX

Alpha FX have chosen at SUDEP Action as their Charity of the Year 2020.

Alpha FX are raising money for SUDEP Action in memory of their friend and colleague Ella Tunney, who tragically passed away as a result of an epileptic fit.

Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, there are still at least 21 epilepsy deaths every single week, many of which SUDEP Action's studies show, could have been avoided. SUDEP Action's goals focus on providing information and awareness on the risks of epilepsy, offering support to bereaved families, including free bereavement support and sponsoring research and education to prevent future deaths.

SUDEP is a cause Alpha FX feel personally connected to, following the tragic loss of their colleague, Ella Tunney who sadly passed away as a result of an epileptic fit. For those that weren’t lucky enough to know Ella, she joined Alpha at the age of 19 when the Company was little more than a handful of people. Over the seven years she was with them, she built the settlements department from the ground-up, upon which now sits a publicly listed company employing over 100 people. Quite rightly she went on to become a Partner, and was without doubt respected as much as she was loved.

More about our national campaign for tackling epilepsy deaths - Prevent21

The Prevent21 campaign is dedicated to taking necessary action to reduce risk from seizures and from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Epilepsy claims the lives of at least 21 people each week in the UK, mostly in the young and healthy, leaving families broken and searching for answers.

More information about the campaign and how to be involved, can be found at www.sudep.org/prevent21
