Kt’s Butterfly Ball 2013

Kt’s Fund recently held a Butterfly Ball in memory of Katie Hallet.  Katie died suddenly from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) at the age of twenty.  Her Family was left devastated.  Why should this beautiful, caring daughter and fun-loving elder sister be taken from them? Could anything have been done to prevent this awful reality? These questions prompted them to take action and set up Kt’s fund.

“In the seven years since 13th January 2006 much has been learnt, shared and experienced, but the precious memories are still alive and vivid. It is appropriate that after seven years the fund has been able to pledge its help and support to the Cornwall Epilepsy Life Project.  In so doing it can then step back and knowing it is a job well done.“ Liz and Bob Hollingdale. 

The well attended event raised in excess of £7000 which will be channelled to the Epilepsy Life Project in Cornwall through SUDEP Action.
