SUDEP Action to hold 20th year anniversary conference

SUDEP Action will be holding its annual charity conference on the 21 and the morning of 22 March, 2015 at the Dunchurch Park Hotel and Conference Centre in Dunchurch, near Rugby. This year’s conference is special and we are encouraging our supporters to attend.
SUDEP Action Chief Executive Jane Hanna commented: “Our national conference is part of our 20th anniversary year. There will be recently bereaved families attending for the first time – a constant reminder to all who are dedicated to the cause that there is so much to be done. Dunchurch is one of the places where our supporters can meet each other in the knowledge that there is a shared experience and understanding."
"Our 20th anniversary is also an exciting time to remind ourselves of the body of research that now supports the cause of prevention and the massive shifts in thinking and practice that have taken place. We hope as many supporters as possible will join us so we can thank everyone for all that they have done.”
At the conference we will be highlighting our plans for the next 20 years. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from specialists in the field of epilepsy and epilepsy mortality.
You will hear about the latest research; personal stories and the charity’s achievements so far. As always, you will have opportunities to ask questions of the professionals.
On Saturday afternoon, we will have a special memorial white dove release to remember all those who have died from epilepsy including SUDEP.
For those wishing to attend, please be advised that only day bookings are available for the Saturday. Weekend bookings are no longer available. Participants are encouraged to contact [email protected] to book their day attendance by Thursday 19 March, 2015. The conference starts at 10:30am on Saturday 21 March, 2015. The hotel has been supporting the charity for many years with favourable rates and we are grateful for their continued support.
