Rose Fest returns for 2024

Rosie Carter-Desai died of SUDEP on the 8th September 2013, just 19 years old.

Rose Fest, hosted by Hollie CradduckMills Ahl and Emma Desai, is returning on 27th April 2024 to celebrate what would have been Rose’s 30th birthday.

Rose Fest is a dedicated celebration of her life and memories. Held in a village hall local to her family, in St. Mary Bourne, everyone is asked to wear something pink – a colour that has become synonymous with Rose.

Visitors will get a Rose Fest wristband and a welcome glass of rose upon entry. Attractions include a live band, hog roast, ice cream van, a games room, glitter station, photo booth, photographers on site, some pink & rose themed decorations as well as a well-stocked bar. In addition to a raffle, with some incredible prizes, there will be a silent auction with some brilliant lots to bid on. It should be a wonderful night to celebrate a wonderful woman who is missed every day.

Local businesses are supporting Rose Fest 2024.

Rose’s Auntie Hollie and Mum Emma tell us about Rose:

“She was an incredibly charismatic, funny and caring woman with her whole life ahead of her. She was loved, and is still, by all who had the privilege to meet her and especially so to those lucky enough to call her their family or a friend.”

"“Rose Fest is a way for us all to come together once again to share our memories of Rosie and celebrate her turning 30, even if she isn’t physically with us… Everything we raise is going direct to SUDEP Action, ensuring that every epilepsy death counts.”
